Since it was the last week of this challenge, I thought it would be good to end it brighter note. There was no specific type of print, just VIBRANT and FUN. Here is how they came together...
DAY 14
I love tights! I really do! Admittedly, I am a proud owner of about 4 pairs of Spanx Tight-End Reversible tights. They are by far the best for aggressive hosiery wearers like myself. Rarely do they rip and boy, are they durable! But with that being said, I felt the need to start adding more 'flavors' to my collection. While shopping at Ashley Stewart during Black Friday, I found a nice assortment of vivid tights for the taking. I picked up a pair in purple as well as teal just to experiment with a few items in my wardrobe. It just so happens that the shade of teal matched perfectly with a darling little flared skirt that I copped while thrifting last winter.
The print on the skirt resembles a watercolor painting, mixing shades of blue along with pink and orange. As you can see, it is pretty short...Along with being lightweight and semi sheer. While it is lined, I took it upon myself to go old school and break out my slip for extra security. Yes...I own a slip! I feel like somewhere...a grandmother just rejoiced!
This is the first time that this skirt actually got worn. It was definitely one of those pieces where it was so perfect but I just didn't know for when. Oh, Fashion Gods...you have a funny way of making it all come together!

DAY 15
On Day15 I was all about those colored tights again. Only this time, They were a neon yellow (another Black Friday purchase and at 50% off! Woot!), I was actually reluctant at first to buy. Maybe these were TOO bright. After picking them up and putting them back down a few times, I just took the plunge. While a color like this brings a lot of attention to my lower half, Its no secret I have big legs. Its taken me years but I've come to embrace this about myself. Big hair, a birthmark and meaty thighs. I live...The blouse was a great buy over at my new found shopping pleasure, Burlington Coat Factory. This semi-sheer piece consists of various paisley prints in a handful of colors including fuchsia, purple, green and yellow. Too many colors and prints can sometimes end up looking cheesy when thrown together on one piece. However, I think this levels out perfectly. Plus, this will be a great transitional piece once spring/summer rolls around. Win!

DAY 16
The last challenge look is a result of making my clothes engage in a little double duty. This dress is actually a midi-length skirt that I purchased from Miskabelle Vintage on Etsy. I really liked it as a skirt but loved it even more when pulled up and worn as a dress. This piece actually had buttons down the front (which I turned around to the back) and an allover paint splash design. There were hints of pink and purple throughout so I played that up by belting a pink blazer and rocking black tights on the bottom.
I have worn this as piece as a regular skirt and even as a peplum over another skirt. It is really important to make as many uses from your clothes as possible. Once you add more usage, you can make each look new for you. That is the fun in playing dress up. Take advantage!
